Assistant Director Business Partnering

Following a recent restructure, the Council are looking to recruit the final 3 roles to join the team.  These are significant roles, and they are keen to attract people to act as trusted advisors and critical friends for stakeholders, challenging thinking and influencing service delivery.

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Financial Services the Assistant Director Business Partnering acts as the Finance lead for business partnering, role modelling best practice in business partnering and providing leadership to Heads of Finance. As well as leading on strategic projects the role will be focused on driving through cultural change and fostering stronger relationships at senior management and Member level.

They are looking for someone who is a qualified accountant with previous experience of leading and developing teams providing a value adding business partnering service in a local government setting. Proven experience of influencing and challenging senior stakeholders is essential.
