Following a recent restructure, the Council are looking to recruit the final 3 roles to join the team. These are significant roles, and they are keen to attract people to act as trusted advisors and critical friends for stakeholders, challenging thinking and influencing service delivery.
The Corporate Accountant, Financial Strategy supports the Head of Financial Strategy in the development of the Councils MTFS as well as supporting financial monitoring and budget setting. The role will coordinate the annual fees and charges exercise, complete statutory returns and produce reports for senior stakeholders.
They are looking are looking for someone who is a qualified accountant, or close to qualifying if they have very relevant experience. Previous exposure to supporting the development of the MTFS is highly desirable or experience of technical accounting in a local government setting.
