Head of Finance Business Partnering – Housing

Following a recent restructure, Waltham Forest are looking to recruit to several senior roles to join the team. These are significant roles for the Council, and we are keen to attract people to act as trusted advisors and critical friends for stakeholders, challenging thinking and influencing service delivery.

The Head of Finance Business Partnering for Housing will be a key member of the Housing directorate senior leadership team, leading a team that provides a full business partnering service, supporting development programmes, including modelling and options appraisals. This will also include supporting the development of the Housing Medium-Term Financial Strategy and the budget for the Housing General Fund. Options appraisal will also be developed to support the service to deliver a new generation of homes that are affordable to buy and affordable to live in, as well as the development of the HRA business plan.

Waltham Forest are looking for someone who is a qualified accountant with previous experience of leading a team providing a business partnering service in a complex organisation. Exposure to Housing in either a local government or a housing association setting is essential, as is the ability to build relationships and influence and challenge.
