The Greater London Authority (GLA) is the centre of government for London, serving both the Mayor and the London Assembly. The Mayor of London sets the budget and is responsible for making London a better place for everyone and the Assembly holds the Mayor and Mayoral advisers to account. The GLA itself plays a key role in delivering projects across Greater London over areas including Housing, Transport, Environment, Culture, Economy and Regeneration.
We are currently recruiting for several roles in the expanding finance team, so they are better placed to support the delivery of the amazing work the GLA does. With all the roles you will be able to have a major impact across London and the people who live, work and travel there.
The Management Accounting Officer will ensure the accuracy of recording and reporting of spend and budgets. The job holder will work in a team led by a Management Accounting Lead, to provide operational technical support to the team of Business Partners including preparing monthly financial reports, analysis and preparing due diligence reports. The team will provide a centre of excellence in maintaining budgetary information and ensuring that transactions are properly and promptly recorded.
To be suitable for the role you should be either AAT qualified or part qualified CCAB and actively studying. Previous experience of budget recording and reporting is essential as is exposure to improving systems and processes.
