Risk and Assurance Lead

We are seeking an experienced governance professional to lead and strengthen governance, risk management and assurance arrangements within a complex public sector environment.

You will play a key role in embedding a strong risk-based culture, reviewing and improving control frameworks, and advising senior leaders on governance, policy and compliance. The role involves leading a specialist team, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting audits, investigations and continuous improvement activity.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in governance, risk and assurance, strong knowledge of public sector frameworks (including Managing Public Money), and a proven ability to influence at senior level. You will be confident managing change, leading teams, and balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
