SAP Solution Architect
Rate: £700/day (Inside IR35)
Location: North London
Organisation: Local Authority
Hybrid Pattern: 1-2 days per week onsite, remaining time WFH
Contract: 12 month temporary contract (3 month rolling extensions)

We are seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect to support a major ERP transformation, migrating from a legacy SAP system to SAP S/4HANA and SuccessFactors. This is a key role in ensuring quality, reliability and compliance across all SAP-enabled services within a local authority environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and documentation of the overall SAP S/4HANA and SuccessFactors architecture, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
• Oversee blueprinting and integration across Finance, HR, Payroll and Procurement (Purchase to Pay).
• Translate business requirements into scalable, cloud-based SAP SaaS solutions.
• Support the data migration strategy and cutover planning, ensuring smooth transition from legacy systems.
• Oversee integration with third-party systems and maintain interface design standards.
• Contribute to test strategy and provide architectural oversight for SIT, UAT and Payroll Parallel Runs.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and security standards, implementing role-based access controls.
• Engage closely with internal teams, system implementers and governance forums to ensure solution alignment and quality delivery.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA and SuccessFactors implementations.
• Strong understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud integration and data migration.
• Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and agile delivery.
• Experience in public sector ERP programmes is highly desirable.
• Relevant SAP certifications (e.g. Technology Associate, Solution Architect, Integration Associate) are advantageous.
