Our Public Sector client have an immediate requirement for a Business Analyst (Applications, Government, Datasets) to join on an initial 6-month contract.
The client is creating an application driven workstream and need a Business Analyst (Applications, Government, Datasets) with a background of public sector delivery, to join their growing applications team. This work includes creation of the core application data assets, supporting data standards, ownership, and lifecycle records, reporting capability, and the tooling required to manage and maintain them.
Key responsibilities for the Business Analyst (Applications, Government, Datasets) include:
- Prepare a validated inventory of application estate, built to agreed data standards, and held in the target repository or tooling platform.
- Documented standards defining what data is held against each application, how it is structured, and how it is maintained.
- Records identifying active, unsupported, end-of-life and at-risk applications dashboards or reports enabling ongoing application management and operational risk visibility, aligned to the TOM Data & Reporting infrastructure component.
- Design the application data model in collaboration with the Solution Architect and Data Administrator.
- Gather, structure and validate application data required to populate and build towards related registers.
- Translate business and technical inputs into agreed metadata, ownership and lifecycle standards.
- Create and quality-assure the core records required for the application intelligence capability.
- Support configuration or implementation of the target repository/tooling platform where this is required to hold the created asset.
